Montecito Security Systems is an Alarm.com partner. We help secure your home or office. We install alarm systems with security cameras for both inside and outside your location. This allows you to be notified about specific incidents through the use of sensors, cameras and other burglar intrusion systems.
- Control Panels: professional alarm systems include one or more control panels which can be hardwired or wireless. As automation specialists, we have a great deal of experience in coordinating alarm systems with your lighting, thermostat and more.
- Entry Sensors: Installing entry sensors will guard against intrusion through doors and windows.
- Motion Detectors and CCTV: outdoor cameras can be installed to cover every point of entry and typically use infrared technology to allow for night time video.
- Fire Alarms: professional grade systems that detect smoke, fire and carbon monoxide.
Company History
Montecito Security Systems is owned by Santa Barbara local James Budow. In 2000 he open his first Santa Barbara tech business, Performance Audio. As his career progressed he moved into security and IT. In 2014 he attained his security license and moved into the security and alarm business, building a large Santa Barbara company. In 2018 he sold his interest in his company of 45 employees, realizing he missed one-on-one client interaction, leading to the formation of Montecito Security Systems, a boutique security company located in Santa Barbara.
James is a licensed Electrical Contractor and holds his ACO licensing [Alarm Company Operator]. He has successfully completed many courses from CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association), and is EGSA certified (Electrical Generating System Association].
